Feeding Instructions
It is recommended to feed the liquid diet in liquid diet feeding tubes as standard water sipper bottles can
become clogged with particulates. To fill the liquid diet feeding tubes, place thumb over the feed well and fill
with liquid diet from the top. Maintain thumb on the feed well while screwing cap on securely and invert tube
to release any trapped air bubbles. Place in feeding tube holder in cage.
The prepared diet should be maintained under refrigeration and should be dispensed within 3 days.
The prepared diet should not be kept longer than 48 hours at room temperature to prevent diet deterioration.
If diet has been prepared the previous day, invert bottle several times prior to dispensing to re-suspend
particles, which may have settled.
The average mouse will consume 20-30 mL of liquid diet per day. The average rat will consume 80-100 mL of liquid diet per day. Intake will vary with the size and sex of the animal.
A gradual introduction of the liquid diet is recommended. Introduce the liquid diet in the presence of the
standard solid diet. Over a period of 3-5 days, increase the amount of liquid diet while decreasing the amount
of solid diet to allow the animal to acclimate.
The liquid diet is both a food and water source. A separate water sipper bottle may be provided, but may not
be consumed.

KAPA Library Quantification Kits for Illumina platforms are suitable for the quantification of any NGS library (prepared for Illumina sequencing) which contains the P5 and P7 flow cell sequence motifs. Libraries constructed using full-length universal or indexed TruSeq™ adapters can be quantified after adapter ligation. Libraries prepared with partial or stem-loop adapters can only be quantified with this kit after library amplification, during which indexes (and flow cell sequences) are added. To ensure compatibility, compare the adapter sequences used during library preparation with the library quantification primer sequences in Product Description.

Ensure that the correct KAPA SYBR FAST qPCR Master Mix is used, in accordance with the reference dye requirements (if any) of the qPCR instrument to be used for library quantification.

Library quantification is performed by amplifying the set of six pre-diluted DNA Standards and diluted library samples by qPCR, using the KAPA SYBR FAST qPCR Master Mix and primers targeting the Illumina P5 and P7 flow cell oligo sequences. The average Cq score for each DNA Standard is plotted against log10(concentration in pM) to generate a standard curve. The concentrations of diluted library samples are then calculated against the standard curve, using absolute quantification.

DESCRIPTION  描述

Additive Screen is a library of reagents that can affect the solubility and crystallization of biological macromolecules, including both soluble and membrane proteins.

These reagents can perturb and manipulate sample-sample and sample-solvent interactions, as well as perturb water structure which can alter and improve both the solubility and crystallization of a sample. Additives can stabilize or engender conformity by specific interaction with the macromolecules. There are numerous reports of the use of additives to improve the quality and size of macromolecular crystals.1-5

DESCRIPTION

Micro-Tools II™ Set is an extension to the smallest available precision instruments for laboratory use. These tools are realistically proportioned for macromolecular and small molecule crystallization work. The high quality, precision Micro-Tools II ease microscopic manipulations. The eight specifically engineered Micro-Tools II are useful in a variety of applications in the crystallization lab. Eight tools, a handle and wood storage box.

The Micro-Tools II are designed to be versatile as well as useful for specific crystallization manipulations. For example, the Micro-Manipulator is handy for manipulating long, thin blades or for separating long, thin blade clusters. Awkward positions encountered during crystal manipulation can sometimes be avoided using tools with an unusual and flexible approach angle such as the Micro-Prober 90° and the Micro-Hook 90°. Seeding experiments can be performed using the Micro-Brush. The Ultra Micro-Needles are extremely delicate tools crafted from 5 micron radius tungsten that are very handy for seeding as well as manipulations requiring a soft, fine, and controlled touch.

The Micro-Tools II Set is indispensable during crystal observation, manipulation, seeding, and mounting. The set includes a single anodized aluminum handle which holds each of the eight unique tips, all supplied in an attractive alderwood instrument case. The case provides protective storage of the Micro-Tools as well as a convenient carrying case.

The tips are constructed from hardened tungsten steel and are resistant to most common reagents used for crystal growth. The threaded tool tips are easily interchanged with the threaded aluminum handle. Then overall length of the handle only is 120 mm. The diameter of the tool shaft is 0.25 mm – 0.5 mm (0.01 – 0.02 inches). The actual dimension at the very tip of the tool will vary with the particular tool design.  Each of the Micro-Tools II Set is also available individually, as is the Handle HR4-829 and Carrying Case HR4-831.
